WNCC: CELEBRATING 25 YEARS OF MINISTERIAL TRAINING AND GOD’S FAITHFULNESS

This year marks a significant milestone in the history of West Nigeria Christian College as we celebrate our 25th anniversary. Over the years, our journey has been marked by incredible growth, innovation, and unwavering dedication to our mission of training men worthy in learning and character. Since our founding in 1999, we have achieved remarkable milestones, including graduating over 500 graduates in Diploma in Biblical Studies, Advanced Diploma in Christian Ministry and Bachelor of Arts in Christian Ministry; introducing virtual learning to reach students across the nation and Africa; excelling in our primary goal of evangelism and edification through our ministry outposts like the prisons, correctional centers, hospital, congregational and educational ministries; blessed to be the arrow head in the training of the Four-Fields Discipleship Model within our fellowship in Nigeria; being the home of Daily Call—a guide to daily devotional Bible Study since 2005; spear-heading evangelism across the nation with the Nigeria Gospel Chariot; extending the frontiers of ministerial training beyond the Southwest with two Parttime centers in Enugu, one at Lawanson, Lagos, one at Cotonou, Benin Republic, one at Kemta Idi-Aba, Abeokuta, and several others projected to begin in strategic locations in Abeokuta; and, continuing to augment the contributions of our sponsors through our internally generated revenue (IGR) projects with over 700 birds, several cat fish, over 1000 plantain seedlings, vocational training program in Computer engineering, basic electronic and Microsoft word/desktop publishing to serve as tentmaking skills for our students upon graduation.

As we look back on our journey, we are profoundly grateful for the contributions of the board and president of the African Christian Schools Foundation, Nashville, TN, USA, and governing board of WNCC whose trust and collaboration have been crucial to our achievements, as well as the management, faculty and staff whose dedication has driven our success. We also extend our heartfelt thanks to supportive congregations who recognize the concentric relationship between the church and the college by their active participation in our programs and for accepting our students for practicum/internship. We are equally grateful to individuals who regularly support developmental projects of the College.

Looking ahead, we are excited about the future and remain committed to being a fountain of excellence in Christian education. Our focus on excellence will continue to guide us as we embark on the next chapter of our story. To celebrate this special occasion, we presented welfare packages to WNCC faculty recently elevated as Directors of different departments, conferred distinguished Christian service awards, special recognition awards, distinguished alumni awards, and long service awards.

Thank you for being an integral part of our journey. Here is to many more years of shared success!
