“FAITH IN THE FACE OF UNCERTAINTY: THE UDOSENS AND THE ENDURING
LIGHT OF NCBC”

Even in the shadow of rising insecurity across Nigeria, light continues to shine through the
dedication of God’s servants. Minister Akpan Joshua Udosen from Ikot Abasi LGA of Akwa
Ibom State, Nigeria, is a man whose life quietly reflects dedication, perseverance, and strong
faith. After earning a Diploma in Theology from the Nigerian Christian Bible College (NCBC)
in 1988—and later completing its University-Affiliated program in 1994, he did not just start a
ministry; he built a legacy. His commitment became an example for his son, Uforo Joshua
Udosen, who went on to earn his own Bachelor’s degree in Education and Christian Religious
Studies from the same college. Today, both father and son, boldly share the gospel in
communities dealing with real challenges and insecurity.

Both of them recently launched their new book, The Significance of Moses’ Ten
Commandments: New Testament Fulfillment and Ethical Implications, a scholarly work that
bridges timeless Scripture with practical ethical guidance for today’s world. The launch,
remarkable for its timing, underscores the resilience and unwavering commitment of NCBC
alumni to advance Biblical scholarship despite the national challenges. Minister Udosen, with
over 20 years of preaching and teaching experience, and Uforo, an emerging authority in New
Testament Studies and Digital Hermeneutics, bring together decades of ministry and academic
rigor. Their work addresses not only theological understanding but also ethical application in
communities facing uncertainty. This book is more than an academic achievement-it is a
testament to the enduring impact of NCBC showing that graduates are returning to serve
communities in insecure regions, bringing hope, guidance, and practical ethical leadership
informed by deep Biblical insight.

NCBC continues to shine as a beacon of spiritual formation and academic excellence, proving
that in times of national uncertainty, God’s Word and His servants remain steadfast,
transformative, and courageous. Their story feels less like a list of achievements and more like a
heartfelt family journey – one marked by choosing faith over fear, service over comfort, and hope
over hardship.
