 CURRENT CHALLENGE

The ministry of this Alumnus is very fruitful but the area he is now working is faced with insecurity, people are displaced, church halls burnt, crops destroyed and lives lost. Many are now living internally displaced camps. People are psychologically traumatized with this situation . Christians are praying but the physical needs to be taken care of is not enough. There is need for church hall burnt down to be replaced and the people whose houses and properties destroyed assisted to replace them. The condition is pathetic but poverty caused as a result of this insecurity is making it very difficult to salvage the situation indeed there is hunger, sickness and poverty among the people of Benue State Of Nigeria. people who are subsistence farmers cannot farm again, Farmers who dare to go to the farm are killed by herders who have taken over the lands. Benue State once known as food basket of the Nation can hardly feed her people again, the land is in dilemma. According to Dr. Azembe, many  churches are now meeting in homes /camps and some brethren contribute money  and food to help the situation.

They need our prayers and concerns.

Thank you and God bless
