ALUMNUS SPOTLIGHT—ANYIM PRECIOUS
WNCC Alumni
Anyim Precious is a 2020 alumnus of West Nigeria Christian College (WNCC) from the diploma in Biblical studies program. During his studies Precious showed himself to be a young man in character with a knack for preaching the gospel, earning him the young Timothy award at graduation. After graduation, Precious applied to the Nigerian Navy to work as a Chaplin.
Chaplin Anyim Precious presently serves with the Nigerian Navy, in the Defense Headquarters Abuja. In the Nigerian Navy, a Chaplain plays a vital role in providing spiritual and pastoral care to naval personnel and their families. His key responsibilities include conducting worship services and ceremonies, providing emotional support and counseling, crisis intervention and emergency response, and facilitating religious education programs among others. In his present role in the Defense Headquarters, he ministers to the members of the armed forces that are Christians who come to worship in the Church/Chapel every Friday from 1200hrs-1300hrs where all the members of the armed forces are compelled to observe worship to God in the Church/Chapel.
Through his education from WNCC, Chaplin Anyim Precious continues to be model of servant leadership as he demonstrates Christian disciplines and values at the Naval base where he serves. He continues to develop himself academically as he is presently enrolled in our B.A. in Christian Ministry program, so that he is more academically qualified to minister to the needs of the many who he ministers to. Having been equipped for effective ministry by WNCC he possesses skills in areas of teaching, evangelism and counseling for his naval officers who look up to him in these areas. Finally, he is a global Christian as he has and continues to adapt to the new setting of chaplaincy without compromising beliefs, as he understands areas where various worldviews are in conflict with Christianity.
We encourage you to continue to partner with us as we in WNCC raise a generation that will take the world for Christ.
