WNCC Community: Realising Our Core Values Through Family Units
At WNCC we are dedicated to embedding our core values—Integrity, Teamwork, Excellence, Discipline, and Accountability—into every aspect of our community. One effective way we achieve this is through the establishment and nurturing of family units and extracurricular activities. These family units serve as microcosms of our larger community, fostering a sense of belonging, responsibility, and mutual support. In 2025 the College management resolved to provide each family units with financial and other motivational resources for their operational efficiency and well-being.
Core Values in Family Units
- Integrity: Rooted in open communication, honesty, and transparency, family units emphasize ethical behavior and decision-making.
- Teamwork: Collaboration on shared goals, whether academic, social, or personal, is encouraged through group projects and cooperative activities.
- Excellence: Family members set personal goals, celebrate successes, and provide constructive feedback to ensure continuous improvement.
- Discipline: Clear expectations for behavior and regular check-ins help maintain focus and accountability.
- Accountability: Members hold themselves and each other accountable for their actions, fostering a sense of responsibility and collective well-being.
Incorporating Games and Extracurricular Activities
To balance responsibility and fun, we integrate games and extracurricular activities into family units. These activities provide opportunities for team bonding and reinforce our core values in a dynamic and engaging way. Examples include:
- Team Sports and Physical Games: Promote teamwork, discipline, and accountability.
- Creative Competitions: Encourage excellence and collaboration in music, and drama.
- Community Service Projects: Apply values in real-world settings, benefiting the wider community.
- Problem-Solving Challenges: Foster creativity, critical thinking, and shared achievement.
By incorporating our core values into family units, we strengthen the fabric of our institution. This approach creates an environment where values are not only understood but lived out daily, building a stronger, more responsible community both within the institution and beyond. The pictures capture the first meeting of the family units in 2025. We covet your prayers as lives are being transformed in the likeness of the Savior through the family units for the sake of the world.
