EXTENDING THE FRONTIERS OF WNCC’S CAMPUS THROUGH SATALLITE CENTERS

Our mandate at WNCC is to be a fountain of excellence in Christian Ministry. To be true to our mandate and to adapt to the changing tides of ministry education, WNCC has earmarked avenues to take the study of God’s word to where the students are rather than wait for them to come to us. This intention of WNCC is in light of the ever-changing demands for ministry education, and the desire to bridge the gap between the College and prospecting students who are unable to travel far from home for college due to financial limitations, family responsibilities, or other factors.

WNCC presently has four satellite centers within the nation and one across the nation. These five satellite centers present students with the opportunity to learn the word of God without disrupting their daily activities. These satellite centers are managed by our alumnus as they continue to integrate their ministry effectiveness into a theological academic setting. Beyond the five satellite centers we currently run, we have received favorable responses to begin three new satellite centers within the nation. Two of those satellite centers will see us minister to a correctional center with about three hundred inmates, and the state prison with about five hundred inmates. Of these figures we prospect to start with about thirty and thirty-five students respectively.

The proposed program for the correctional center and the state prison is a certificate program in Christian Ministry that will target the student’s devotion to Christ. Our proposed schedule is to visit and teach three times weekly at these centers. Presently, some of our faculty members are visiting two of our satellite centers in Delta and Enugu states. In their visit they have conducted a convocation ceremony and will teach a total of eight short courses respectively. The pictures represent the matriculation of 29 students in both diploma and degree programs at the Warri Center.
