NIGERIAN CHRISTIAN BIBLE COLLEGE STILL FLYING THE FLAG OF ACADEMIC / MORAL EXCELLENCE

Nigerian Christian Bible College continues to uphold the standard of academic and moral excellence that it has been known for since its inception in February 1954. We attribute this success to the grace of God and the support of the African Christian Schools Foundation, which has played a vital role in helping the College maintain its esteemed position within the Nigerian educational landscape.

Recently, on February 12, 2024, the Provost of the College, Joe N. Obinna, and the Registrar, who also doubles as the Director Affiliate programmes, Samuel Okon, visited the University of Calabar (UNICAL),  our mother institution, to collect six Degree certificates awarded to our students who were found worthy in character and in learning. These students had completed their Diploma in Theology and continued their studies in Religious Studies Education. It is noteworthy that these graduates are currently serving in various states across Nigeria as part of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), fulfilling their mandatory one-year service to the nation.

In addition, on April 18th, 2024, the University of Calabar sent Associate Prof. Timothy Alexander to conduct a workshop at our college. The workshop focused on implementing Core Curricular and Minimum Academic Standards (CCMAS), aiming at orientating our faculty members on new teaching methodologies and updates in academic curriculum content. The CCMAS framework is designed to enhance undergraduate education and training in Nigerian universities by stipulating minimum requirements for curricula design, introducing new courses, and streamlining existing ones.

Through these educational initiatives, all the programmes align with national aspirations, addressing socio-political development, socio-religious concerns, and economic challenges. As the first among fifteen colleges affiliated with the UNICAL to host this workshop, Nigerian Christian Bible College reaffirms its commitment to academic excellence, moral standard and societal development.

We express our sincere gratitude to all our donors both in the US and Nigeria for their unwavering support. We pledge to uphold the values of academic and moral excellence, ensuring that the flag of Nigerian Christian Bible College flies high at all times.
