At West Nigeria Christian College (WNCC), we continue to maximize every opportunity to connect with churches and Christian gatherings in order to recruit and train the next generation of Christian leaders. One of the ways your support is making a difference is by enabling us to maintain a visible presence at church events, where we introduce prospective students to the educational and ministry opportunities available through the College.
On Sunday, July 5, 2026, a WNCC outreach team participated in a regional youth programme hosted by the Church of Christ, Itori, Ewekoro. Approximately 80 young people and church members from several congregations gathered for the event, which focused on the theme, “Flee Youthful Lust.”
Our outreach team, consisting of Mr. John Onifade, Mr. Ogbu Innocent, Miss Oyetade Abimbola, Mr. Abraham Ogundipe, and Mr. Udoh. Bassey, arrived early to establish an Admission Enquiry Desk and display WNCC’s promotional materials. This visible presence allowed attendees to interact with our team throughout the programme and learn more about the College’s mission.
After receiving permission from the Resident Minister, WNCC was given approximately six minutes to introduce the College to the congregation. During this presentation, attendees were informed about the educational opportunities available through:
• Bachelor of Arts in Christian Religious Studies (CRS)
• Bachelor of Arts in Christian Ministry
• Diploma in Biblical Studies
Participants were also invited to attend the forthcoming 26th Annual WNCC Lectureship, providing another avenue for them to experience the College’s ministry and academic community firsthand.
Promotional flyers were distributed to participants, and following the programme, numerous attendees visited the Admission Enquiry Desk to seek additional information about admissions, programmes of study, and the application process. These conversations created valuable opportunities to establish relationships with prospective students and families who are considering Christian higher education.
This outreach demonstrates our commitment to making every church gathering an opportunity to identify, encourage, and recruit individuals who desire biblical training and ministry preparation. Rather than waiting for students to find us, WNCC intentionally takes the College to local congregations, ensuring that young Christians are made aware of pathways for academic, spiritual, and ministerial development.
Every visit to a congregation expands the College’s reach, strengthens relationships with churches, and helps identify future Christian leaders who will be equipped to serve the Kingdom through faithful ministry.
