WNCC CLASS OF 2024 EXCELS IN PRACTICUM EVANGELISM

At the end of every academic year, WNCC sends out her students to get practical hands-on experience from ministers in the field and learn practically how to work with a congregation. This exercise has had a major impact on both our students and the congregations they visit. This year our final-year students visited 10 congregations for one month for their practicum exercise.

The congregations visited received our students well and returned them with fine recommendations. One of our students was highly recommended and was sent to several congregations within Ibadan to assist the congregations in evangelism. He excelled in evangelism much so that he was delayed in returning to the congregation of his primary assignment because of his efficiency in evangelism. Another of our students was well spoken for in Edo state, as they were grateful for his zeal, commitment, initiative, and evangelistic exploits during his stay with them. Others were also not left out as they received  fine appraisal for the work they did during their stay with the congregations.

The role of our students during the period of their stay was to assist in evangelism, engage in visitation and restoration, gain hands-on experience from veteran ministers with years of experience, be engaged in the administration and management of a congregation, engage in the edification ministry of the congregation, and gain insights to assist them in ministry.

We are grateful to God that through this ministry outreach, several souls were reached with the saving gospel of our Lord, and four of such were baptized. These four souls were handed over to the congregation to guide them in growing into disciples. We pray for our students to continue to be fruitful wherever they find themselves.
