From August 11–14, 2026, the Nigerian Christian Bible College (NCBC), Ukpom, Abak, became a gathering place for believers, ministers, students, families, and Christian leaders from across Nigeria and beyond. 7,500 participants converged for the 72nd Annual Lectureship and Convocation Ceremony, inspired by the theme, “Renewing Our Minds for Faithful Christian Living.” Despite the rainy season and difficult times experienced in Nigeria. About 300 congregations from 6 Geo-political states in the federation including Akwa Ibom, Cross River, Rivers, Abuja, Abia and Imo State were represented. The Provost of the College, Joe Obinna welcomed the mammoth crowd to the campus of NCBC and encouraged them to stay and participate in all the programmes.
Five American brethren who attended the lectureship were Chad Wagner and Rena Wagner, Edet Udofia and some of his adult children visiting Nigeria, Cliff Jarrel, Greg Kirk and Lori Kirk, an ACSF Board Member who visited Nigeria for the first time.

Throughout the programme, 21 keynote presentations were delivered by distinguished speakers from Nigeria and beyond, addressing vital biblical, spiritual, and practical issues relevant to faithful Christian living. These carefully presented lessons provided rich spiritual nourishment and challenged participants to pursue renewed minds, deeper faith, and a stronger commitment to Christ.
One of the most remarkable outcomes of the Lectureship was the salvation of 113 souls, who responded to the Gospel and were baptized into Christ through water baptism. This stands as a powerful testimony to the evangelistic impact of the gathering and to NCBC’s continuing commitment to advancing the cause of Christ.
The ceremony also featured the convocation of 35 students from the Ministerial Programme-30 on-campus students and five from the Itigidi Centre-marking an important milestone in their preparation for Christian ministry and service.
The event further provided an opportunity to support the ongoing Male Hostel Extension Project through a fundraising campaign. To date, ₦8,007,490 has been realized toward the completion of the project.
As the curtains fall on the 72nd Annual Lectureship and Convocation, our mission remains unchanged: to train and equip men and women for effective Christian service. The 72nd Annual Lectureship and Convocation may have concluded, but its call to renewed minds, faithful living, and dedicated service continues to resonate.
