NCBC HOSTS 72ND PREACHERS AND CHURCH LEADERS SEMINAR

The Sacred Echo: Reclaiming the Power of Narrative on the Pulpit was the Centre Stage at the 72nd Preachers and Church Leaders Seminar  of the Nigerian Christian Bible College, Ukpom which was held from 19th-22nd May, 2026

Like a river gathering streams into one steady current, the 72nd Preachers and Church Leaders Seminar brought together voices, minds, and hearts in a shared pursuit of growth and spiritual renewal. The four-day event, drew to a successful close after days marked by learning, reflection, and meaningful fellowship to a community of church workers. The program provided a structured space for leadership engagement, leaving participants enriched, strengthened, and better equipped for service.

Despite the difficult time experienced in Nigeria especially the high increase in petrol prices, the seminar recorded a large turnout, with daily attendance of 300 participants, while 143 individuals were officially registered. Representatives from about 7 states across Nigeria were present, reflecting the widening influence of the annual gathering.

A notable feature of this year’s edition was the participation of a single denominational guest who remained actively engaged from the opening session to the final day and also took the entrance examination into the Nigerian Christian Bible College. This highlighted the openness and transformative atmosphere of the seminar experience.

Keynote presentations and interactive sessions formed the backbone of the program, offering deep insights into biblical narrative and effective pulpit communication. The seminar also featured a lively football match between NCBC Students and NCBC Alumni, which ended in favour of the Alumni team.

The event wrapped up with the distribution of certificates and study materials to all participants in line with the directive of Chad Wagner, President of the African Christian Schools Foundation. Polo and Face caps were also presented to the NCBC Alumni, marking a memorable conclusion to a spiritually enriching event.
