WNCC New Year Evangelism Outreach
In the month of January, our college carried out its annual evangelism outreach in partnership with the Gospel Chariot of Nigeria, in keeping with our long-standing tradition of beginning each year with intentional gospel witness and community engagement.
The outreach was a two-day evangelistic mission that took place across several communities, namely Lakiri, Mile 6, Obasa, Kajola, Kemta, and Iyana Tirimi. Teams of students, staff members and local congregations were deployed to these locations to share the gospel, pray with residents, invite people into renewed faith and hope in Christ, and extend fellowship invitations to residents within the local communities to fellowship with the local congregations within their communities.
The outreach recorded encouraging participation across the locations:
Kajola: 50 attendees on Day One and Day Two
Obasa: 61 attendees on Day One, 59 attendees on Day Two
Lakiri: 65 attendees on Day One, 60 attendees on Day Two
Mile 6: 69 attendees on Day One, 79 attendees on Day Two
Kemta: 60 attendees on Day One to Three
Iyana Tirinmi: 60 attendees on Day One
These numbers reflect both community interest and the growing impact of consistent
evangelistic presence in these areas.
Throughout the days of evangelism, the gospel message was proclaimed through preaching and prayer. Many individuals were reached, conversations were sparked, and seeds of faith were sown. The outreach reaffirmed the College’s collaboration with congregations towards evangelism and missions. The importance of practical ministry beyond the classroom was
emphasised strengthening the college’s commitment to holistic theological formation that combines learning with mission. At the end of the evangelism outreach, two souls were harvested to the glory of God.
The January evangelism remains a vital spiritual exercise for our college community. We are grateful for the partnership with the Nigeria Gospel Chariot, the dedication of our students, collaboration with our local congregations, and the openness of the communities visited. We trust that the impact of this outreach will continue to bear fruit in the lives of those reached.
